Stephen Grandy

Founder & Lead Developer at Syntrix LLC

San Marcos, TX · Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB)

Stephen Grandy is a United States military veteran who transitioned from active service into the technology industry with a singular focus: making advanced software accessible to the businesses and government agencies that need it most. After serving his country, Stephen channeled the discipline, systems thinking, and mission-first mentality that defined his military career into building software that actually ships.

He founded Syntrix LLC in San Marcos, Texas, as a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) with a clear thesis: most businesses and agencies either cannot afford large development firms or cannot get them to move fast enough. Stephen bridges that gap by operating as a solo full-stack developer powered by AI-first methodologies. He uses Claude Code and cutting-edge AI tools to deliver at the pace and quality of a multi-person team, without the overhead or communication breakdowns that plague traditional agencies.

His technical expertise spans the modern web stack — Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python — with deep applied knowledge in AI integration, automation pipelines, and government IT compliance. Stephen has built everything from scroll-driven marketing sites with Stripe payments and booking systems to AI-powered lead generation agents and multi-agent orchestration platforms. As a VOSB, Syntrix is eligible for federal set-aside contracts, making it easier for government agencies to work with a builder who actually ships.

Outside of development, Stephen is a certified skydiving coach and tunnel instructor at iFly with over 80 hours of tunnel time. The same precision that keeps people safe at 120 mph is what he brings to every line of code. Discipline is not a value statement for Stephen — it is a daily habit, forged in military service and applied to every project Syntrix delivers.
